If you saw my other thread about Palestine, you'll know that I recently was able to search through bins of coins that were all purchased from a collector who apparently was selling his whole collection. Among the biggest quantities I picked up were New Zealand predecimals. I already have a complete set of these but I think I will get a lot of conditional upgrades from this. These photos are far from great but just wanted to give you an idea of what I got. Pretty good for one trip.
Nice. I have a date set of pre decimal New Zealand, that's about 90% complete but since I got many from junk boxes, they could use an upgrade.
How much half crowns go for? I'm thinking avg price over melt? I was able to get four 1933-44 shillings for only $12 or $3 each recently off eBay. I think they got a $2.55 melt value so happy. Although now ebay charges tax too.
Depends on the year - I don't have a price guide handy but I think some of the George VI coins can be a little scarce.
There are some low mintage dates. I'm planning to upgrade my collection and sell what remains. I think I can make a profit. When I was first assembling my New Zealand collection a lot of them were hard to find.
