Is there a market for what I'd guess you call modern "event commemorative" coins. Specificaly, 1990 50th anniversary Sturgis Bike Rally and 1991 Daytona Bike Rally 50th anniversary. I picked up several different variations while attending these events. Some are silver (.999) and some brass (?). Thanks.

Hello...sounds to me like these are tokens or silver/brass rounds.. if it is not minted by the US Mint.. it is not legal tender and designated as a US Coin. There are many token or bullion collectors out there who have anything you can imagine stamped into Silver, Brass, Bronze and Gold.
Do a goggle search on tokens and Silver rounds and you will see what I mean..

No, they are not legal tender and not produced by the U.S. mint. I guess, as you said, they are "tokens" although some are silver. I have done ebay searches over the years, although not recently, under Harley Davidson Collectibles and had yet to see any show up. I never thought of looking under the Coin/Token section. I'll try that (one day). LOL Thanks.

I have a number of silver rounds and I believe they are very collectible. They seem to perpetually sell for the bullion value plus a small premium for being stamped .999 silver, so they are one of the most affordable coin/token/medal collectibles around. Someday, they might become more popular but for now they derive all of their value from the silver bullion content. A few are quite nice in design and in no way inferior to some of the US Mint products. I have several Christmas rounds hanging on the Christmas tree in special airtite holders designed for this purpose.
