    They are actually medallions not coins.
    Do you know what material they are made of?
    Brass, gold?

    Does the Grant Wood reverse look like this?

    These are 1 oz, 90% gold medallions sold by the U.S. Mint to compete with the Krugerrand and other bullion offerings at the time. A quick check of eBay shows listings slightly over the spot price for gold ($1417/oz as I type this); slightly higher for those graded by third party services.

    Yes. That's it. The other post says it's gold and copper.
