Since some of the Idrisid mints no longer exist and there is little to no information about them available online (in English anyway), I have decided to post this map of Idrisid mints for those of you interested in Idrisid coinage:

I had never heard of the Idrisids to begin with!

Even that map had me scratching my head for a moment, until I think I recognized the coastline as northwestern Spain/Portugal, yes?

Edit: Ha! No! I was even wrong there. So it's North Africa, huh.

Ahh. OK. Learned something new today.

You are welcome, while I had known about the Idrisids for a long time, I only recently took an interest in their coinage, then I noticed a distinct lack of information about several of their mints, and after much searching I found the above map in a book.

My only Idrisid coin is this Silver Dirham of Idris II that was minted in Walila (Volubilis) in either 818 or 819:

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

While I do collect Moroccan coinage, I haven't moved that far back in history yet. I started with French colonial. I'm slowly moving back into the late 1700s. It will take a good long while before I get serious about the Idrisids

I might even skip them and go back to the Romans first!
