A friend of mine gave me this token she found. I like it because it's from my home province, pretty good shape but with a bit of staining and it's got the ugliest bison I've ever seen. It's a keeper!
Too funny! I knew from the thread title before I opened this that this would be an ikandiggit thread :thumb: I can hardly believe that sorry depiction is one of North America's most iconic creatures! It looks like a maned lion with a poodle coif that has had it's feet put in leg casts! A sorry site. But a thoughtful gift. :smile
I met the authority/collector of Canadian tokens at the show today and I mentioned the Manitoba Bakery token posted here. He knew instantly which one it was..... value $30 - $40 (minimum!).
