Time to get ARtsY-FaRtSy! The contest - Make a work of art of a coin, bank note, medal or token that you own using your camera, web cam or scanner and whatever software you normally use. Just post a pic of the original source (coin or whatever) and then a pic of your final artwork. (One submission per person). On August 28th 2010 at 6 pm (CDT) the call for submissions will close. Then the members will vote for the Best Of Show winner. Voting will last for one week and will close on September 4th, 2010 at 6 pm (CDT). The person with the most votes wins! (Unfortunately, only open to North American members due to previous shipping problems, sorry) The prize package consists of a PCGS slabbed note autographed by John Markis (Trusted Traditions.com); a 1939 Canada Silver Dollar (worn but still pretty cool) and 1/2 pound of mixed foreign coins. Have fun and good luck!
Ummmm.... Well.....If you mean like photo shopping a coin on the Eiffel tower, sure.... I just want to see some really creative pics but use a coin/token/medal/banknote you actually have in your possession not one pulled off the net. You don't have to damage a coin, just manipulate it in the software or take a neat pic of it.
hope a work of art of coins counts? well i made this anyways and it was fun and from the top... Peace! very good idea for a contest i might add as I was occupied for some time
