I had this 1906-S barber dime on layaway for a while just because I needed it for my collection and it was a nice solid AU coin. So I brought it home to day and took a good loupe to it to look for any of the RPD, RPM etc and there it was right in my cherrypickers FS-10-1906S-301 with a URS-4 making this my first major find. you can see the remains of the other numbers in the 9 and 6 specifically. The die state is later so the RPM is very slight. But wow, what a pickup for a $50 coin.
That's awesome! Congratulations!!! I'm especially appreciative, because I don't have the patience to cherry stuff.
by the way Ruben, I put that pic together like that after reading your post on GIMP. Not quite sure how you did the circles, but I made it work for me.
Nice BQ! I peruse coins for varieties at work when I can but there is never enough time. In other words there are coins to be picked out there.
Nice catch. Really makes your day. I've lucked out and have had two coins turn out to be more valuable varieties. And both had been slabbed!!! I believe it's up to the owner to request attribution when submitting them to a TPG. Costs more. Keep that in mind it you send it in.
Am I a ghost? I'm pretty sure you have something good here, better than you thought. There is "something" below the word OF which looks to be a retained strike through error. This could be worth more than you thought
Sorry, I had to pull it out and double check. But no alas it was a piece of lint on the coin from my picture taking surface, I didn't notice it before and just brushed it off.
