Hope some one from Maine is out there! I need some help. Among some coins that I bought, I found a token thati s a little bigger than a dime and is probably of bronze composition. On one side it says “One Hundredth Anniversary, Luboc, Maine,” with a drawing of what appears to be a log cabin. On the other side it says “January 2-3-4, 1911,” with a branch. It has a hole about 12 o’clock high. Can anyone identify it? I had hoped to put it up for auction at the Big Island Coin Club, but I have no idea about its value. Walt Southward

Hi Walt,What you have is a aniversary medal issued as a commemorative. It should be worth a buck anyway, even though it's holed. That's damage though, and many collector's will avoid it just because of that.It still should be worth a buck to the right collector. It would have more draw if it were a token instead of a medal. Good luck with your sale! ~ Jim
