I picked these two up last year. Angola pieces issued under Portuguese administration seem a little tough to find. I'd like to add a nice 4 Macuta to fit in with my collection of 2 Reales and similar sized denominations from the period.
Nice! I believe 1762 was the first year the macuta denomination was used. It was deemed the equivalent of 2000 cowrie shells.
