I have been studying the machine doubling coins and I kinda like the looks of them and for me that's what collecting is about. I hope I can find more

Nothing wrong with that, after all, collecting is a very personal agenda for all of us... ...as long as you recognize that "machine doubling" adds no value to a coin & is merely an interesting & arbitrary anomaly in the coining process. Whereas true doubling, from an actual "doubled die" may add significant value (see the 1955 Lincoln doubled cent for a great example), you should find a plethora of machine doubled specimens to suit your needs. Happy collecting!
There's another kind of doubling that IMO is more common than Machine Doubling (sometimes called Mechanical Doubling) and that is Die Deterioration Doubling DDD Read about both on this site: http://doubleddie.com/144801.html The quarter you posted could be DDD. Photos of both sides of the entire coin makes it easier to tell the difference.
When it comes to value on machine doubled specimens I don't care I just like the looks of them more than the others
Absolutely collect what makes your collection complete and what makes you content! I still have a difficult time discerning from real doubling and Machine doubling. I have a slabbed Kennedy half dollar that I reference to remind me of machine doubling. I do know for a fact that there are sales on ebay of machine doubled coins so there is a want for that faction of coin collecting. I will always go back to no matter what everyone else things, you collect what you want!
With almost 97% of coins people ask about are either machine or deterioration doubling, it will be one of the largest groups~ Welcome, Jim
No my name came from some friends that know me really well and say that I can be hazardous if provoked cause I know a lot about demolitions. But I have worked as a volunteer for search and rescue and forestry conservation and a few other group's , to many to name.
Since everyone says there's no value in machine doubling I was thinking I was going to be able to get as many as I could, even really high grade coins, but now you burst my bubble ☹ - you really mean that I'm not going to be the only one looking for them( darn it competition ) I guess it's okay it will be interesting to see what all is out there
