He think my coin is a cast/ Dutch forum

    Google translate English:

I think the increases especially if the corroded obverse of the coin very strange,
I understand floors which arise because coin material is corroded away ,
But increases kunnnen only prevent corrosion of the iron stamp before the coin is beaten
( and I know only by example . trientes and never saw that in Roman !)
Or ... this is a cast of course I hope for you not,
but who can give a plausible explanation for these nodules ?? ??

On the edge of your coin :
But look carefully at hand and with a magnifying glass or somewhere burrs (round / oval ) spot is ( the scar of a runner / vent ), approximately 3-2 mm in diameter.
Inside the red circles are possible see file marks , but this picture is definitely not for me .
Not all coins have cast a casting seam , this coin has certainly not cast seam .
I dare not say that this coin is a cast ,
I can not explain the increases shown in my previous article on your money !
I like it a plausible explanation for

I'm not very good at spotting fakes, but this is a coin with too many questions. I think it looks cast as well. If I were looking to buy, this is one coin I would stay away from even without definitive info regarding authenticity.

Ro - Your coins are all very nice, but this one is not. This one, I agree with others it is a cast copy. Good luck brother.

Looks like the same color/texture a fake Crispina I had looked like. Oddly though mine had a very deep filing on the edge and it exposed white metal, which told me it was fake.

Ro, are you buying most of these sestertii from the same person? They all have a certain look about them... patchy dark brown patina with mustard-colored metal in the bare spots. I'm not saying they are all of questionable authenticity, but it is curious. It looks like they are all being cleaned/treated by the same person.
