It really depends on whether it is an original or one of the many, many restrikes still being produced at the Austrian mint. Check forum member JD White's website for more info on how to determine what you have.
I picked up one of these thalers the other week but, I cannot find another one that looks just like it. The legend merges with the rim and you can clearly see the edge lettering poking out by looking from either side of the coin. It is AU with touch of wear on the breasts. I was just wondering if this is normal or not.

I had it weighed when I bought it and it weighed according to the Std Cat of World Coins. I cant remember the weight of the top of my head, but I am sure it is not cast. I looked at one of the websites above and I think it may be H58 Thaler made in London between 1932 and '35.
