I know they seem normal run of the mill etc but do any of these older jefffersons go for anything above FV just due to decent condition? Are there any anomalies I should look out for? I always get them in change and just feel like they look tooo nice to spend
Spenders to me anyways. I like the War Nickels mostly. BTW: Don't forget to click Full Image and not Thumbnails please.
Keep them if you like them. I get early 60s and even 50s nickels in change fairly often and I spend them on down the line.
Ignore ebay, look at reputable sites. https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-explor...ve-cents-1938-date/14042/1950-d-5c-ms/?des=ms and read the blurb about the 1950-D.
Go to NumisMedia/FMV and navigate the site. Look up the 50-D Jeff and see the range of values…imo…Spark
Just so you know, there are Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, too. But you have to look up for those.
Simply put, low mintage. Refer to your Red Book. If you don’t have one, buy one. It’s the R.S. Yeoman red book. The prices are not real but they are just a guide.
38 and 39 D & S were very difficult. Below you can see the 39 S I found in circulation back in the 50's and one I found in a roll from the bank not long ago. The one on the top is my most recent find. I switched them out in my album.
....Can't resist.... I love these Jeffersons too! In all fairness - I do love Jefferson Nickels. The hunt of finding a possible Full Step nickel in a circulated coin is always exciting! Most recent one was this 1987 D.
