    It's probably worth a buck or so.


    Saxony (a German State) KM#1000, copper, 20mm, Dresden Mint, showing the crowned arms of Royal Duke Friederich August III on the obverse.

    It's listed in the Krause 18th Century 2002 33rd Ed. at $2.50 F. Judging by the reverse, yours could be anywhere from a strong G to a very weak F depending on how well the obverse detail held up over the last quarter millenium.

    Edited to add: The only reason this one could be identified without slogging through hundreds of pages in Krause is that the pfennig denomination pegged it as being of German origin, and the C mintmark identified it as a Dresden issue, which automatically led to Saxony.

    Everyone please - when asking for ID help post pics of both sides and mention the size and probable metallic content.
