HI there, I'm new to this but need advice and help with a lot of coins found by my grandpa. It seems he had been collecting coins and every time he found one added it to a box he kept in the barn. I thought I might take a look and see what I could find. He has told me to do with them whatever I want so, I come to you. I know you will need pictures but it will take me a while because there are so many coins. Forgive me, but I am trying to remember some of them, I go tonight to pick up the coins. I just glanced at them but I saw, 1922 silver dollar, shillings, some coins I didn't recognize, pennies with s mint mark from I think 1920 to date, there was 1938, 42, 50, 55, well a lot more bunch of wheat pennies. Buffalo nickles, Jefferson and more. Mexican coins. Quarters early and to date, farthings I think it said and well the rest I will list tonight. My question is do I place each photo and coin information on here or is there a set place and or way to do this? Thank you for any help and information.
I am still working on scanning each coin both sides and uploading to web page but here is one of the large ones.

Well there's several ways you could do it. You could post pics at a personal web site - most ISP providers supply users with space for one. Or you could post a few pics at a time of represenative coins in regard to condition. Once you do that a list of the other coins in that series would be all that is needed. Or you could set up your own gallery in the Gallery section of CT.

Thank you very much for the reply. I will load a few pictures in here and then put the others on the gallery or web page :) From what I have read so far, I should not try to clean any of the coins right? Surprisingly, a lot of the coins do not have much wear and tear but then I am no expert lol. The ones that are bad are the red penny, nickle and quarter. I'll be back a little later with the pictures, again thank you. I am going to try and post a couple of the pennies now ( those are the only two I brought home with me today)

I am sorry for the pictures quality, I'm trying :)

If you like to have grade estimates, which will help determine value for the coins you know post a pic of both sides.

And you are correct - DO NOT attempt to clean them, wipe them off or anything. And try to handle the coins by the edges only.

I'm sorry about not posting both sides :) Thank you, I will fix this and noted about the care in touching and no cleaning!

    GDJMSP,
Thanks for pointing that "Gallery" section out. I had never noticed it.

It's a 1922 Peace dollar - appears to be in VF condition. This is one of the most common dates, value would be about $10.

Thank you, I have added some pictures to the gallery, I hope I did it right. The web page is taking longer than expected because loading each coin front and back on the pages is more work than I thought. There are many of the wheat cents from 1919 on up and a lot of the kennedy halfs. I am going to make a list of the coins.
