Howdy fellow coin peeps, :thumb: I've been watching an auction on Ebay that includes 6 Morgans and 1 Trade Dollar. They all have the same dull look to them and similar wear (very little wear) and while they have bothered me from the beginning, it was today that I stopped staring hard at the Trade Dollar and started looking at the Morgans, with one in particular - the 1878-P. While I know there is a 1879-S with a reverse of 1878, is there such a thing as a reverse of that with the 1878-P's? Anotherwords, a 1878-P with a 1879 reverse (7 tail feathers, a wider top feather on the arrows, and not flat breasted)? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320256237970&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011 Ribbit
Sounds like a type-3 reverse with 7 tail feathers and rounded breast. Though, I don't know how you can tell from those photos. All those coins look dull. Guy~
