I did not think the reverse proof gold would amount to much so I did not buy any from the mint. Then I had to have some so I bought two PCGS PF70 reverse proofs for $10,900 not long after the original release.

When the silver reverse proof sets were offered I changed my order from 10 to 3 and have three sets from the mint.

Will the platinum half ounce reverse proof be the mother of all coins? I am saving my money and hope to buy 10 sets when released from the mint. It bothers me but I am forgoing the 07 Buffalo to build my war chest. I also read an ugly rumor that only one set will be allowed per household. This will certainly cause chaos in the after market. Good bet or bad bet? Does anyone have any additional information concerning this set other than there only supposed to be 15,000 and it is supposed to be released in the fall?

That information is the same that I have received. 15,000 mintage, one per household. Fall release consisting of 2 1/2 ounce coins. It will probably cost about $1,800-$2,000 per set.

Mother of all coins? I'm not sure that means. 90% of the hobbyists won't care but it will be a nice one to complete the reverse proof hat trick (gold, silver, platinum) but at the 15,000 mintage would make it a common of uncommon distinction.

I would have loved to see 7,500-8,000 Mintage and make it a true collectible.
