    WOW big giveaway this month!

I have been very quiet recently with coin stuff, have not been buying lately but I have been getting into looking for VAMs on my current Morgan Dollars

As to July, Happy early 4th of July!
(This is the most American image I have, it is the Apollo 11 Saturn V rocket breaking the sound barrier with a perfect shot next to a American Flag. Iconic)

That is so totally gobbling up my attention that I am unable to do what I am supposed to be doing. That'll teach me to check out CoinTalk before I finish work and other responsibilities.

I did a cursory look at KM's Hamburg and that gate or double H does not look like anything pictured or described beginning in about the 16th century. I also did a quick gander at other Hanseatic cities and did not see anything that made me say, "Ahh-hah!" I will have to look around some more when I have more time. Thanks for sharing that unknown.

I inherited this coin from my wife's aunt. I believe it is a 1939 American Trachy, probably a pattern piece and worth a fortune. It is even apparently bimetallic, since there appear to be traces of a lead-like metal in the center of the reverse. IMG_8638.JPG IMG_8640.JPG IMG_8637.JPG

Sorry to burst your bubble but that is a damaged coin. Worth face value.

    Tantalizing, ain't it?

@Neal was having a bit of fun, @NLL. Ancient coin humor. That reference to a "trachy" regards a cup-shaped, convex Byzantine coin.

This guy is more "formidable" than the other but didn't fit the theme. I think he was working out at the woodland Planet Fitness.

    Nice! Simple yet effective artwork.

Want a bezel for it? I have a few left over from my old antique mall inventory.

Here's my odd buffalo I found in a junk bin. Has a dot instead of a mint mark. And me shooting one of my guns. Cause nothing says America like old soviet rifles haha.
