    So now we come to...

    ROUND 9.

    The prize for this round is a...

    United States: copper-nickel Flying Eagle cent, 1857

    Numista-14014. This one has an old hairline near the 12:00 position and some small marks, particularly around the eagle's head, but is otherwise a reasonably decent circulated example. The eagle's eye shows.

    This will be the last US coin in this contest, since we will have drawings for ancient coins in Rounds 10, 11, and 12.

    To enter this round, all you need to do is:

    1. Say that you want it, and
    2. A word or two about why you want it or what you like about it.

    Then, sometime after 24 hours have elapsed, we'll do the drawing and move on to the next round.

    Or you may of course say you want it for someone else, if you name that person.

    Round summary at the bottom of Post #1.
