LordM Giveaway #128 (pick your prize) Contest status: OPEN Drawing: pending; on or after 1 September 2025 Winner: pending Shipping status: pending Winner's receipt: pending Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest giveaway. This will be another one of my "pick your prize" contests, so you can hopefully win something you'll like. To enter: 1. Go view my Giveaway Gallery. 2. Post an entry here, stating which prize you would prefer. 3. State why you chose what you did. NOTE: That last bit is important. To qualify, you have to not only pick a prize, but also say WHY you picked it. Just a few words will do. However, if you are entering on someone else's behalf, you are not required to pick a prize or say why. Your designated proxy will get to pick their choice later, if your entry wins for them. Your prize choice need not be final. I do periodically add new prizes to the Giveaway Gallery, so if you win the drawing, you'll be given a chance to change your mind at the end, if you see a new prize you like more. I just enjoy reading everyone's initial selections up front, since it gives me an idea of what folks like. Click the pic below to go to the prize gallery. The drawing will be done via random number generator sometime on or after the date mentioned at the top of this post. The timing will depend on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the drawing. Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only further requirement is that if you win... Please post a receipt in this thread after you get the prize, so we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track). Good luck! Rob, I’ll be your Huckleberry! If I win I choose: …the 1818 copper Coronet Large Cent. I chose this one because it would be not only be my first Coronet but also my oldest U.S. cent coin. This aligns with my strategy to find coins from a series that will be a first for my collection. I will enjoy it immensely in the here and now, but ultimately it will be inherited as a family heirloom…Spark
You know I've got a cat named Huckleberry! I've also bought more large cents to (eventually) add to the giveaway goodies, including both Coronet and Braided Hair types, but this 1818 you chose is a tiny bit nicer than the new additions, I think.
