I'd like to enter this for @masterswimmer to get that pair of silver dollars ---- lovely pic of some coppers.
Entry Post: Please enter me for the Hurricane Helene salvaged 2020 American Silver Eagle. It was interesting to learn of the history of how the coins were recovered and encapsulated.
I’ll throw my hat in for this contest! If I am fortunate enough to win, I’d love that 1873 quarter! Definitely would be an upgrade to my collection! Thanks for running these contests!
Just looked back and saw it was there, must've confused it with something else. I still want that Uber bad lol, it would be a nicer filler for my last slot in the slab holder
Well, if you win the drawing, you'll always have a chance to change your prize pick at the end if you want to.
I'm glad to see that one get some love. I wasn't sure how well it would be received. Particularly since I picked out one of the scuzzier looking ones. But I figured if you're getting a disaster coin, it should show some signs of having been in that disaster, don't you think?
Hello again , and thank you once more for the amazing opportunity to win your Edo period coin. I once again add my name for this coin as I collect "strange currencies" Usually something that strays away wildly from milled coins. I do not have an example of this strange currency. Furthermore, from the samurai period. Thank you once more , and wishing everyone a wonderful day.
Thanks LordM! Going with the Commodus Denari. Gotta say that he was way crazier than portrayed in the movie. Lost opportunity not having Joaquin Pheonix dressed as Heracles with a club threatening to bash senators. Dogs say hey.
I used to make fun of the Gladiator movie for having a beardless Joaquin Phoenix playing Commodus. But lo and behold, the historical Commodus is beardless on the coin you selected in the giveaway. He’s always had a full beard on the other coins I’ve seen. Guess this was a younger portrait. Still doesn’t look much like Joaquin Phoenix, but OK, I’ll let Hollywood slide on that detail, now.
would be into the 2012 p aussie silver dollar such a cool design n dont have one from that side of the pond
