Now I know why I have never liked hush puppies. I've only eaten badly cooked ones. I'll give them another chance if I can find ones that are cooked with the correct recipe.

I noticed that you said " Give Ladymarcovan some leftover cash to pay a bill with?". I think she would put this at the top of the list, no?

 

They need to be cooked in hot grease, not too big, and dipped quickly and drained. You don't want either soggy doughballs nor pieces of a space shuttle that reentered the orbit too quickly.

At this point I must say, I'm pretty sure everyone knows the smoking after sex analogy. I think I need a cigarette. And for the record, I've never so much as let a cigarette touch my lips (lit or unlit) in all my 65 trips around the sun.

If you want to see me at a show one day - let me know and I can send over a list. We do 15 a year including the ANA, Baltimore, and FUN. But not any up your way unless we end up in Chicago.

Would love to see you and thank you personally for the generosity and gifts I’ve received that allowed me to work in this industry full time. The knowledge I gained here over the years is used near daily at work.

I would enjoy meeting you as well, Evan. Most likely will be at FUN, and hopefully next January! Catherine has given me the green light to look into it for next year. She has no interest in going, so I'd fly down myself and be nothing but a coin geek for a few days. I'll have to hit up all the "veterans" here for advice on lodging, etc.

 

There is this old joke. Do you smoke after sex? I don't know, I've never looked.

 

Wow! What a thread! I've been catching up on my CoinTalk reading today. A special thanks to @lordmarcovan, @Randy Abercrombie, and all the contributors for the excellent comments—and especially the photos. They made me think I was actually present.
