I was running some reports on my CAC coin purchases, since I am feeling so poor lately, and I was kind of surprised by May. Looks like I went nuts... 1988 coin is from my childhood and later received CAC sticker April 2011 kicked off my CAC Type set, but at the time I didn't know jack about CAC. I now have 51 coins in my CAC Type Set. One coin was added today and one was removed. I decided my 1951 50C bugs bunny Franklin is just too obscure a Type to be included, since I can barely see the clash. I was going nice and steady for a long time, and then I went literally crazy in May, and I just realizing it. Count Of Coins Purchased by Month: Breakdown by Coin Seller: I do love eBay, but they are running dry on coins I need. Bozarth is absolutely first rate, highly recommended. Actually everyone on this list was great, I did overpay on the Holsonbake coin, but oh well... NGC is getting smoked by PCGS now, it used to be the opposite. I adore the NGC No-Line Fatty holders, even more than PCGS OGH, doily, etc. But the fact is, I find the coins I want in PCGS plastic, especially lately. Green vs. Gold: Breakdown by Denomination: Dont tell my wife! Oh, I must be bored....
Actually, our 10 year wedding anniversary was in June, and I bought her something extremely awesome in May for it. God, I hemorrhaged money May / June.
Nice spread on the dealers. Hate to see so much ebay. But I do admit in the last month or so I have added a couple myself from ebay.
If I figured up my coins the top for dollar amount would be ha then I buy a ton from local estate auctions and from antique dealers that get coins. Why I get a lot raw And get em slabbed myself. I also bought quite a bit at stacks bowers and have bought a lot from fellow ct members coins from feebay 0!!!
I never had a problem with eBay, or as my buddy @Mainebill calls it "feebay". Certainly when I was starting out, 100% of my coins came from eBay. I still look there every single day. I hope to buy 1 more coin this month, just need to find the funds... a 20c Type Coin.
