Long story short, I have a beautiful set of CH BU uncirculated Franklin halfs, displayed in a sealed large clear holder, sealed at the ajoining fasteners with wax, Onthe reverse their is a label which states " J.Puryear Elliott Phoenix, AZ Brilliant Uncirculated to Choice Brilliant Uncirculated, Warranty void if seal is broken.

Anyone know of Mr. Elliott or any info about him? Thanks

Does that mean if the wax seal is broken the coins are no longer BU? I don't understand the warranty or who Mr. Elliott is...

It means that if the seal is broken, they will all turn black in about 8 weeks.

It means if the seal is broken the waranty, possibley for refund on the entire set, is void because the risk of switching the coins is now greater.

Google the address if you have one and post some pics please. Names escape ppl sometimes but a picture is worth 1000 words!! My guess is they most likely were put together by someone before grading coins became popular, that's pretty much a given. Google is your friend!! good luck

My bet is that Mr Elliott was a dealer and he was warranting to buy them back as BU as long as the wax seals were not broken. that way he knows that none of the coins have been switched out for AU's.
