So I started looking through my coins today along with the top 100 vam book.
One of my newest coins i picked up i found acouple oddities. so looking up the coin from what i see its a 1878 vam 141. it has the triple star on the obverse and the open o in god on the reverse. Pretty cool. i paid 35 bucks for the coin. DSC_0603.JPG DSC_0602.JPG

For God's sake man, crimp those staples...or better yet, get it out of that holder (very, very carefully) & put it in a safe holder (flip or capsule)...sheesh!:jawdrop:o_O

Btw, very nice pickup; my condolences for catching the VAM bug! :D:D:D;)

    (You're a Vammer, you're a Vammer...not all bad :hilarious:)

Nice coin and you should be careful when removing the coin from a 2x2 with staples. You don't want to scratch it.

I usually get them crimped down. Missed this one. I usually leave the coins in these flips, not a good idea?

I would invest in a hard plastic case/capsule for that coin.

Put it in a Saflip. You can write all the info on the card insert. It also makes it easy when you want to remove it for new photos.

Some are fine in that type holder but I would move this coin to Saflip or a hard plastic holder.

Ok I’ll safely remove it from the 2x2 and find it a new home
