My 88 edition is a little out of date. I'm looking for prices for these coins in UNC: 10 aur 1969 coarse and fine 5 kronur silver 1930 1 aur 1937 wide and narrow 1 aur 1939 large and small 3 1 krona 2 different 3 Also 1966 2 kronur thick planchet (13a.2) Thank you
Check Numismaster. Icelanic Coins should be pretty cheap exchange rate wise, now that their economy and government has collapsed.
Try this link. It might help identify and get you close on value. My 2008 Edition of World Coins does not list some of your coins, so information might be iffy. http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/Iceland.php
Except that you cannot simply get coins at the nearest exchange place. And since all the Icelandic pieces listed in the initial post are from before the 1981 currency reform, attempting to get them that way would be even more difficult. 1966 2 kronur thick planchet (13a.2) in my 1988 standard cat of world coins is listed at $135 in bu and have heard reports of $400 or more. I would happily pay that much for one, but have to locate it first. Just trying to get a general ballpark. Thanks and keep 'em coming.
