Hello I have these two possible Ancient coins, is there anyone that can tell me anything about these?
I have no insight as to the authenticity of these coins. If it is a modern replica, the top coin seems to be imitating a fairly rare silver denarius of Severus Alexander with a quadriga reverse. CORRECTION: looks to be a middle or large bronze of this reverse type. Like the following example. Just go to VCoins and search Severus Alexander quadriga to see other examples. https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/se...__quadriga_right__ric_497/898100/Default.aspx
Gavin Thank you for sharing that link, It was nice to see one and it appears its a match, at least very similar as far as I can tell. I had no clue where look. Thanks once again.
The second coin looks like a tourist copy of this dekadrachm from Syracuse: https://www.cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=138545
