About a year ago, I was able to pick up ten rolls of Northern Mariana's quarters. These are still in original shotgun rolls from the Denver mint. Part of me thinks, "will I ever get to see a real return on these?" or should I just spend them on say, 1oz generic silver rounds? I doubt any coin store would give me anything over face value on the rolls. Would you hold onto these rolls, or spend them on real metal?

In my opinion, you will not see a return on your purchase. I would not hold on to them.

I think you would be pressed to realize anything over face value from any dealer . You can try EBAY as a venue to rid yourself of these, but that too may not be cost prohibitive . Since I don't own a single roll of these, I would be interested in obtaining some from you. Feel free to e-mail me to work out the particulars, if you are so inclined.
