Can anyone recommend a Professional Coin Conservationist. I am looking to have a coin I just purchase professionally cleaned, though I do not want it slabbed. I also don't want to join NGC or PCGS just to get it cleaned. Coin is a 1978 Afghan Snow Leopard from the Royal Mint. I got it as part of a pair at major discount due to it's challenges. Willing to pay to have it conserved. Responses here please or PM me direct. Hope I am not breaking any rules with this request for assistance, if so, my apologies in advance. Posted a picture of the challenge for those that are interested. It's in the mail to me and I will be in a position to get it cleaned early in the new year. Thanks in advance.
PCGS or NGC really are you best bet. But there are also a few members / dealers here at CT have experience. @LostDutchman comes to mind. http://www.ncscoin.com/conservation/ http://www.pcgs.com/restoration/ Likewise, many dealers could submit the coin on your behalf, so you would not have to directly join. Again, Matt AKA @LostDutchman comes to mind. I would PM him and inquire.
