I decided to get a little more invested with the coins so I am in need of information pretaining to what I need, where to find it, and how much should I expect to pay for a scale to measure grams, ounces, troy ounces for gold and silver coins. I am not looking to open a store, I just want one for home use to test/confirm my online or in person purchases. Thank you for your time.

You can get the type of scale you need at a gun store that sells reloading supplys. (they're not cheap)
You can convert our common weights (grams, ounces) to Troy by using a conversion table.
If you need the link to the conversion table, let me know.

Andy, most jeweler's tool and supply outfits have digital scales with selectable readouts for pennyweight, gram and troy ounce weights Check FDJ or Shor International's websites.

check out www.amosadvantage.com they have a great little coin scale. It is the Acculab Pro 250. It weighs in grams, ounces, and pennyweights (troy ounces). They are $150 retail, and $125 for Coin World subscribers.
