What I am looking for is a second opinion on this coins grade, but with restrictions. (That's different for a change.) I want everyone to look past the cleaning and give me a NON-adjusted details and numerical grade. I know they don't issue numerical grades on cleaned coins but I am asking for one. I don't want a value either, adjusted or non-adjusted. With the wear I see I'm guessing between XF45 and AU53. This is coin KM# 36, Italy-1903R. P1010639.jpg P1010626.jpg

I'd say XF 40/45 details. But it's hard to judge without an MS example for comparison.

You can't tell how much detail is missing if you don't know for sure how much detail is supposed to be there in the first place.

Somewhat of the same problem I have. I can't compare and I don't find any written information on how to grade this coin either. I was hopeful another member may own one or have information on it.

Pretty coin. I would venture to say xf45/au50 details.

XF45, but without a comparison, it can be way different

Yep! with another example would be easier to judge :)

Very nice gbroke. Is it yours? If so, who is the TPG? This is the highest grade I have seen so far.

Same grade as I said before.

Seems to me part of the crest on the shield of the"House of Savoy" has worn off, so... VF-30.

Hey Ripley, I must be missing something obvious. Pardon my asking but I don't see the same wear on either of the two previous pictures.

No Sam. It is not mine. It is ngc graded and was in an auction. I believe it sold for around $140.
