I am looking for a problem free 1793 half cent in the range of VG10 - F12 http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/#/1793HalfCent/Grades. I'm willing to consider other grades if well struck with minimal problems. For those familiar with EAC (Early American Copper), I am willing to use CQR (Copper Quotes by Robinson) as a price guide. Please private message me if you have something of interest or know of a coin that is (or soon will be) available. Thanks, Cringely
Good luck in your quest; it will be fun. You should be able to locate one in the grade you specified, even if problem free specimens do not show up that often. Have you looked here? http://www.earlycoppercoins.com/. Shawn should be able to find what you want. Looking for mine was fun 23 years ago. I finally found this one (C-3 variety) which fit my budget, and which although not problem-free (as can be seen from the somewhat grainy surfaces), is still a decent coin. Good luck!
