I was recently going through some Morgans I aquired a while back and came across this. I'm a sucker for VAM's so I was happier than a pig in you know what. You can kinda see the pinned wing in the black box, the die breaks are clearly visible on the reverse in states and America, you can also see the spikes in the date on the front. The color and luster is much better in person. Just thought I'd share. Opinions on grade are welcome as well.

I'm not into VAM"s, but I do love Morgans. Very nice coin, strong details and great stike. Nice CC. :thumb:

The Morgan is one of my favorites. From what I can see of the Obverse assuming all marks shown are bag marks this coin should grade MS64 or 65. The nick in the Rim on the reverse at 11:30 is the only issue keeping this coin from rating higher IMHO.

I also like and have quite a few VAMs. Can you see the spike at the top of the 1 on 1884?

Irregardless of these minor issues this is a very nice coin .. congratulations.

Yeah you can see the spike on the one clear as day in person.

    Congrats on your VAM find...
You can really get lucky, if you go looking through a dealer box, looking for VAMS, and always check you certified ones for VAMS too, because TPG grading companies mess up sometimes.. :D

    Very, nice find!
