I was going through some foreign coinage and ran across this an 1961 Canadian Dime Inverted date. Pretty cool find if I do say so..... anyone know anything on these? The first image of the date is the upside down the second image is right side up. Notice the Last #1 flag in 1961 is upside down . I can almost vision how this one occurred.

1961 would be the perfect year for a variety like this! However, when I compare this coin to other 61s, I notice there isn't a flag on the first "1". I want this to be an inverted date too, but I suspect it's only a die chip--but still a cool placement for one--well, the auction shows as much! There's a real 'money coin' out there--the 1969 large date, using the older style 9/6 digit for this year.
Paddy , you amaze me sometimes . Did you get new glasses or something ? Nice find and do you still use your scope to see those dates ?
Rusty I saw this one with my loop but I did scope it out. But I'm leaning to KurtS post a die chip. In a very strange spot. But if you enlarge the images you'll see it's a chip.
I have about 5 rolls of Canadian cent culled out of rolls. Not enough time to look at everything but maybe now...Nice Find Paddy!
I could not have said this in better words... it is just a die chip, I can't imagine this having any premium at all...
