look at this quarter please..whats this error???

    I need help with this error.. anyone know what this is called?

    It looks as if someone dropped some acid on the coin to see what would happen! Otherwise, it could be a countefeit with a poor clad plating job. Who knows!

    one more thing..i can't post a pic. i have to recharge..i will post tomorrow if needed,
    this quarter has an odd edge/rim.. where most are or maybe I should say most look as if the edge is half copper and half silver.. you know two colors..this one has silver on each side with the copper color in the middle, and it looks as if the copper is sunk in more then the silver, the silver edges stand out more the the center copper color.. any ideals about this? any of you ever heard of this?

    Yeah, that's an acid treatment. Acid eats away at the core of copper faster than the surface.
