I built this set in the mid to late 1990’s. With CT photos you can enlarge them. Please do so and be setting down when you look at the prices. I purchased them from my LCS and I received a discount off of their prices which are on the flip. It even shocked me how low they are, especially compared to their prices today.

I wasn’t trying for good pictures of the coins themselves, just the 2 x 2 flips with fairly accurate grades and prices.

Very nice! I hate to think about how much inflation has risen during my life, especially in the last few years. :depressed: I think silver dollars should carry a greater premium than they currently do, or at least have in the past. They may be common, but they are impressive! You got your 1921 at a pretty decent price according to today's standard.

The one in the first photo was only $45.00 for an XF/AU. In the third photo is another 1921 for $79.00, which I paid a bit less, and that was graded AU.

I remember when I wished that I could afford a nine dollar silver dollar!

But it wasn’t a 1921 at that price. I remember as a kid that was 10-12 years old, I would walk down to the LCS. I was amazed that he had silver dollars for $5.00 and under. But they were all above face value as clad coins were now being produced. I was 10 in 1964.

Well, silver was also at like historic lows then (I know, the record only goes back to the 1970s) and a lot of these kind of coins are influenced by spot price.
