Any one going to the Long Beach Coin Show in California, February 2-4th 2012 ? I scored a couple of good deals at the last one.
Already have my entrance badge ready, my local coin club had a few extras so at least I'll be saving that $8 entrance fee. Still have to pay $10 to park though, but hopefully I'll find enough coin deals to make me forget about that Also looking foward to looking at a bunch of stuff at the Heritage lot viewing before the show opens up. Heritage usually starts their lot viewing at 8am, so if you get to the show early I highly recommend going to the lot viewing as it is much more fun than waiting in the lobby until the show opens up at 10am!
Sure would love to make it to the show, but unfortunately, I haven't arranged a ride to the show, and it may be too late to hitch one with my local coin shop buddies, with whom I usually attend local coin shows. What really bums me out is that I won't be able to participate in the PCGS coin grading contest (similar to the one that was held at the recent F.U.N. show). I've even been brushing up on those few coins that I've had trouble grading in the past. But, I suppose studying is never time wasted, right? So, like I said, if I'm able to solve the transportational issue, I'll definitely be there. -Brian PS- Mike, the many times I've attended the Long Beach Expo, I still have yet to stop by your table (when you've displayed your vast collection in past shows- Not a dealer table). Mark my words, if I make it to the show, I'll hunt you down and introduce myself.
I will be there saturday. I am excited about the show but also the Seafood place down the street, pricey but totally worth it. My friend is coming from San Diego so I am excited about that too.
