The show is this Thursday through Saturday. I will be there all three days, part of that time manning the local coin club booth. AJ should be around for part of the show as well. Would be happy to meet up with any CT members who can make it out here. Post here if you think you are going.

I'll be there, I'm at table 848. I would love to meet any of the CT members as well so stop by if you get a chance and share a glass of wine with me (served after 1:00 pm)! Charmy

I had to cancel my plans to attend, I have a sick family member that we need to stay close to. Also, I am down with the flu real bad and any missed work can be made up this weekend provided I am better by then.
I even had to cancel my Sunday Scottsdale show.

I'll be watching the Heritage auction very close, and look forward to some show reports both here and on the PCGS forums. If the Mesa Coin Club show was any indication, expensive coins are slow, but the collectors are still buying.

Good luck at the show Charmy, hope you have a great one. Be sure to bluff Rick out of a hand for me:cool:

I assume you mean 'compared to thurs.'. Yes, it was slower Friday than Thurs., much easier to browse in peace. Normally, Sat. is the slowest, by the time the kid's treasure hunt is in its raffle ticket stage, dealers are putting things away.

Well, it was very nice to meet a fellow CoinTalker at the Long Beach show - Brad was nice enough to stop by my table and browse for some Indian cents. Thursday was very busy for most dealers, including me, and I heard from others that today/Friday was slow, but for me, it equalled Thursday with both shoppers and sellers. I sold a lot and bought some very nice pieces as well, including some more gorgeous Matte Proof Lincolns. I also got back from NGC some gorgeous toned proof Indian cents that I had previously sent in - wow, they sure are beauties. I'm going to have to get Todd to take some more of his wonderful photos of some of these beauties and share them with you all. I expect Saturday in Long Beach will be pretty active, especially if this rain keeps up which usually draws more people inside and taking the kiddos to a treasure hunt will be a good way to get them out of the house!

By the way, Jack, I had dinner with Rick and several others at Greenfields (a wonderful Brazilian all you can eat place) and we all decided to bow out of the poker game since we were pretty tired, our bellies were very full, the rain was coming down pretty hard, and and I had a bit of drive back home.

The variety cherrypicking was a bit lean this time, but I did find some, I will take pics of them tomorrow. I turned down several potential Barber cherrypicks because while the variety was a good one, the coin itself had issues.

Hopefully Charmy (who has a lot of great IHCs at her table) is correct in her prediction and tomorrow will be busy. I will be there, though by noon today I had already spent most of what I had budgeted.
