Love the theory for the graffiti: http://cgi.ebay.com/1829-ANACS-AU55...ryZ11969QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It's fact actually. President Harrison was a well known "coin vandal". Taggers everywhere know his story well. Give me a freaking break here! Great find there Cody.
"The coin also has what appears to be an H adjacent to Liberty's nose. The coin probably belonged to President Harrison long ago, thus the H." He could be right. (But I highly doubt it.) The seller called the toning "beautiful". I think it looks horrible. No telling what that toning is hiding.
I actually emailed the seller about this. Turns out he did this as a joke. Nice guy actually. Here's his response. "Ha! I have been waiting almost 6 months for someone to posit that question. You win the prize. Congratulations!! Oh, what is the prize? I forget. Oh, what the heck. Merry Christmas anyway. Mike PS: Thanks for taking a look at my coins. Some of them are very nice, wouldn't you agree?"
I like the toning...obviously there's a cleaning hiding under it though. That is quite amusing what he says about the "H".
I actually like the toning as well. Real toning over an old cleaning. His auction is pretty straight forward about it and it is in an ANACS holder.
