I don't think it would hurt the value, but I could be wrong. I personally would like to see some pics. I love ASE's.

The Littleton packages add no value to the bullion. Put it in your album and enjoy.;)

Who knows what coins Littleton truly put in a plastic wrapper tho? If it were teh original mint package, that would be different, but Littleton removes teh ASEs from original mint packages and puts the ASEs in their own wrapper

While we're on the subject of Littleton, why didn't they do their intro offer thing this year where you can get the ASE's for way less than spot?

It appears to be their stock number. I would go ahead and remove the coin.

The coins will probably be safer in the album than in the Littleton packages.

Taking them out of the Littleton package won't decrease value. But I started a thread about albums recently. And some people have said the albums themselves are not good ways to store your coins.

careful, many coins have been damaged being placed in albums.

Did you know that used to be one of the recommended ways to get a coin into an album - with a hammer ? It was - some still do it ;)

No, I didnt know that, but putting coins in some of those old Whitman folders I felt I could have used a hammer sometimes. Thats just enough to turn your stomach though, thinking that someone out there is placing their coins in their folder with a claw hammer. I bet those rims look nice!!

Well, you are supposed to cover them with a cloth first

Still, it still seems pretty primitive, cloth or not, to put coins in a folder with a hammer, it doesnt matter what kind of hammer. If someone is going to spend the time and money building a collection you would think they would take a little more care in how they are storing them and spend a little extra on an album. I hope no one supports this type of procedure. :kewl:

I don't even support using albums, let alone the proceedure using a hammer. ;)
