Little Owl of Athens (really little)

    Since I got my first Athens Tetradrachm, I have had the little owl coin on my want list. This weekend a little owl was presented to me & it spoke to me. Say hello to my little friend:

    ATTICA, Athens.
    AR Obol, 460-455 B.C.

    0.65 grams, 8.0 to 9.6 mm

    Obv: Head of Athena right

    Rev: Owl standing right with head facing AΘE to right olive leaf to left all within incuse square
    Grade: a fine nicely toned little coin with the obverse slightly off center and the reverse owl neatly centered showing almost all of AΘE.

    Little owls are a bit harder to find that tets from personal experience. Nice pickup.
