Lehigh, you are "The man" when it comes to toning so I'm not questioning it, but what is that white substance on the Morgan? Could u educate as to why that is not a detractor to the coin (or maybe it is). Tx
It is breaks in the toning. It really does not determine value definitely as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
It is just breaks in the toning and for many it is a detractor. For me, it increases the originality of the coin. I love the coin the way it is and was able to pick it up with absolutely no premium.
HOLY FLIPPIN' FLAPJACK! Lehigh, how many times are you going to amaze me? You coins are just amazing, and they are always something for my eyes to feast on
I cannot post pics yet, but my top three came from my dads collection, 1895-s morgan, 1820/19 Bust Half, 1825 Bust Half
Larry: Wow! You have the set? I am really impressed! And I ain't kidding. Folks, these are scarce pieces. Nice!
1) peace dollars 2) walking lib halves 3) I've been buying some large cents for my 7070 and I might be getting hooked on early coppers. this could be very bad for the bank account.
