I will be traveling to Lisbon in early September to trek the Caminho Portugal to Santiago de Compostela as a pilgrim. I will be in Lisbon for several days (arrival and departure). I would at least like to correspond with any dealer. I would like to buy at least one coin from the era that the pilgrimage was established (13th - 15th century). Does anyone have any coin dealer or even collections recommendations. I will also be passing through Porto, Portugal as well. Many thanks, John
Thanks Chris. Paredes is a small town 40kms (25 miles) east of Porto. Some dealer must have retired there! My cycling route will not take me there as I will be approaching Porto from the SE.
I read a thread on CT once that talked about dealers selling coins at outdoor stalls in the larger cities in Spain and Portugal.
