Lincoln Wheat Double Die Reverse?

    Found this going through some of my wheats today. Looks to either be a Double Die Reverse or I guess its possible it was a severe Mechanical Doubling, although it doesnt appear to have the normal shelf like appearance Im used to seeing. Let me know what you think:

    Appears to be a deteriorated die.

    The die does not appear to be doubleD.

    I thought so too at first but the "U" of Pluribus convinced me it wasnt die deterioration. It would appear as more of a smushed edge instead of clearly in the middle of the "U" right?

    Guess the majority says Machine Doubling, and just when I thought I found something. :D
