This I found in a lincoln roll yesterday. Appears to be a blank planchet with raised rim. Weighs 2.52 g, which would make it a post-1982. Is it the real thing? Amazing how something like this stays in circulation.

How do you know how long it has stayed in circulation" You may be the first or second person to receive it. That's true even if it shows wear and has darkened. I know a lot of people who get these tend to carry them as a good luck piece. So they could be #1, they carry it awhile and spend it accidently and you are #2. Really the chance of something like this truly circulating is zero.
