What's your take on this mint mark an RPM? Found this on a Lincoln cent. I've marked it with red arrows and there's also something inside the D like the back of an under lying D. 84 D.jpg

Anyone know when the mint stopped punching mint marks into individual dies? I can never remember.

I can't find any listing at Wexler's for '84D RPM.

That's why I questioned the rpm. Besides Lincoln cents I don't collect . So not in my wheelhouse .

I found one like that today myself, i tossed it back...its common on zinc cents. Unless your pinching it, then a bididiot might like it for a buck.

It's truly not about the value as it is the hunt....if it was a ddo 84 D the best it be worth is a few bucks.
I not a collector of Lincoln cents so it doesn't matter just like to educate myself as to what I'm looking at.
Now if it was a nickel I be all over it.
