So what do you think they should do.

Regardless of 2010 on out, I think for 2009 they should do the familiar wheat back as a nod to the past. IMHO !!

Of course I think the simplicity and beauty of the wheat reverse is one of the best ever.

    Opinions are welcome.

I think you will see multiple cents made in observance on the 100 year milestone. Probably over a two year period but no decision has been made as of yet. Wouldn't count on the wheat back but do know there is a movement for a 2009 S VDB. We will see if that happens?

Every time I hear that I think about how sweet that'd be- a 2009-SVDB wheatie! How many of those would the Mint sell? I know I'd have to get a few!

Interesting ideas...I too would like to see the wheatie cent back, even if its only for the 1 issue.

I'd like see wheat backs in 2009 and in bronze. They
could also bring back the "penny bags" that they started,
I believe in 1972. The mint was selling small bags of 15
    cents for 50c.

An exact duplicate of the 1909 issues, both with and without v.d.b., but with the 2009 date would be very nice IMO.

I would like to see a one-year wheat rebirth, but after that I'd like to see a fresh design.
