Lincoln Penny 1992 error or damaged coin

    Can anyone tell me if this Lincoln Penny is an error coin or damaged coin.

    That means nothing. The Mint would not use a die with damage like that on it.

    On the other hand, I can walk through almost any parking lot and be guaranteed of finding coins on the pavement. I also know of one location where the drive-through windows of a bank exit directly onto a road at a traffic light, and I have often found pennies along the curb of the left-turn lane.

    Conversely, ask, can you make something like this? If you get a no on Rick's question and a yes on mine, it's a cinch it's damage.
