This is a pretty common medal issued in 1969 by Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky to commemorate the finishing of the Lincoln heritage trail. These were popular as I still see them all the time here in the shop pretty often... they were made in silver and bronze. All of the silver pieces were numbered and from the numbers I have seen they made several thousand pieces.

This however... is the first. I've had this for a couple of years and I just ran across it while cleaning. I have no idea if it was awarded to someone... and no idea who that would have been.. but I thought it was neat and wanted to share.
