Hi and Welcome! It's a Small die chip. Or if the coin is dated after the 1982 change of composition, it could be a spot of corrosion under the surface of the copper plating. Neither scenario is an error. Thanks, Bill
That leads more toward the die chip scenario. It's not quite big enough to be considered an interior die break and since it does not involve the rim of the coin it is not called a CUD. Thanks, Bill
